I had some health problems in 2005 effecting my digestive system, probably brought on by stress a gastrointestinal haemorrhage was to follow the next year needing blood transfusions. The following year trauma on a huge scale was to rock our family to its core. I think these times are like a test for us to find inner strength that lies within us all. This strength can be hard to find you have to delve very deep, yoga helped me find this strength, it got me and those around me on the road to recovery.
I became more and more in love with Yoga. It made me feel so incredible, so present and calm it can really illuminate the whole of your life. This was my new path in life I decided to train to be a teacher of Hatha Yoga. How amazing would it be to be able to pass on my knowledge of something that had helped me through a very difficult period of my life. I am very passionate about this fascinating ancient practise for the mind, body and spirit.
I completed my teacher training with a highly respected Hatha Yoga teacher in Sutton, Saraswati Neville who has undertaken many trainings; The British School of Yoga, Yogi Hari, Swami Sivapremanda and Swami Vishnu-devananda. I am trained in all aspects of Hatha Yoga including; Yoga Philosophy, Yoga Diet and Pregnancy Yoga. I am First Aid trained.
I teach and practise meditation based on the Raja Yoga techniques and principles, I am very honoured to have been trained by Swami Saradananda a senior-most student of Swami Vishnu-devananda. Swami Saradananda worked with the Sivananda Yoga Centres for almost thirty years. She served as director and main teacher of their facilities in New York, London (Putney) and Delhi. Now based in London, Swami Saradananda is a “free-lance yogi” who teaches world-wide and leads pilgrimages to India. –Flying Mountain Yoga

I bow and give thanks to all of my teachers, I continue to practise, learn and share all things yoga – this is my passion, this is my life, to pass on the wisdom of the teachings.
Thanks to my husband who supports me in all that I do, my son who gives me so much encouragement and for the wonderful website he has built me and my Dad who in his ‘eighties’ laid the foundations of The Yoga Den!
