Wallington Yoga Studio
Come as you are. Leave feeling more grounded, more human.
The Yoga Den in Wallington
I’m Vivien, and I didn’t come to yoga through some spiritual awakening - I stumbled into it when life properly fell apart.
A serious health issue plus devastating family trauma left me needing something that actually worked, not something that sounded nice. Yoga turned out to be the thing that helped me stay present and calm when everything was chaos, and gave me the courage to change my life completely.
Now I teach it to people who, like me, need practical tools for when life gets messy - not mystical promises about finding your inner goddess.
About The Studio
The Yoga Den sits at the end of my garden in Wallington, built by my father in his eighties with his own hands. (He was quite proud of that foundation work.) It’s a proper sanctuary from the noise outside - you’ll hear wind chimes and birds, not traffic.
Small classes, real conversation, and no pressure to be anything other than exactly where you are today. Whether you’re dealing with stress, insomnia, chronic pain, or just need somewhere to breathe for an hour - this is your space.
I want to help you regain healthy movement patterns, find mobility as well as strength and stability where you need it. When your mind becomes calm through focusing on breath and body, sleep often follows naturally. I want people to feel whole again - not perfect, but whole.
What Makes This Different
I’m over sixty, a self-described rebel who’s never taken well to dogma or hierarchy. I don’t teach from above you - I practice alongside you, encouraging everyone to approach each session as if it’s their first time, with a beginner’s mind. Notice what’s actually there - in your breath, your body, your emotions - without trying to fix or achieve anything.
I’ve studied with many different teachers, conventional and unconventional, and I’m trained in somatic movement too. Sometimes I’ll share a Rumi poem or touch on yoga philosophy, but I always tell students to make up their own minds - I question everything, and you should too.
I want to help you get in touch with what’s beneath the surface, to know it’s okay not to feel happy every day you wake up. That’s not how life works. Being human is difficult.

🎵 Sound Healing & Gong Baths
When you need profound rest without having to do anything
Once or twice a month on Sunday evenings, I host sessions using Tibetan singing bowls, shamanic drumming, and gongs. You simply lie down and let the sound do the work - no yoga experience needed.
The vibrations slow your brainwaves from active thinking to deep relaxation, often creating visions and mystical experiences that are difficult to achieve on your own.
