🎶 Gong Baths - Sound Healing 🎶

What Actually Happens

Once or twice a month on Sunday evenings, I host sound healing sessions using Tibetan singing bowls, shamanic drumming, ocean drums, rain sticks, and gongs.

You don't do anything except lie down and receive. No yoga experience needed, no flexibility required, no effort on your part. Just turn up, get comfortable with blankets and cushions, and let the sound do the work.

Woman with blonde hair, wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt and a smartwatch, plays a gong with two mallets in a room with white walls and several black cases on the floor.

Ready to Try It?

Book through our online system when sessions are available. If you have questions about whether it's right for you, email me. I'm happy to have a proper conversation about what to expect.

Some people become regulars after their first session. Others come when life gets overwhelming and they need the equivalent of a system reboot. Both approaches work perfectly fine.

"The most profound healing often happens when we stop trying to fix ourselves and simply allow what's stuck to move."

  • Gongs create vibrations that your body feels as much as your ears hear. The sound waves work at a cellular level, helping to shift stuck energy and release tension you might not even realise you're carrying.

The sound frequencies naturally slow your brainwaves from Beta (active thinking) to Alpha (relaxed meditative state) and sometimes into Theta (the realm of dreams and creativity). A gong puts you into a state of meditation - an altered state of consciousness that's very difficult for most people to achieve on their own. The gong makes it easy.

This is where things can get interesting. Many people have visions, vivid dreams, or encounters with images and sensations they can't quite explain. Gongs are genuinely mysterious, and the healing happens on levels beyond just physical relaxation.

It's both practical therapy and something more mysterious. The healing happens whether you come for a nervous system reset or you're curious about the deeper experience.

  • When everything in your life feels too much - when your mind won't stop spinning, when sleep feels impossible, when you need profound rest but don't know how to get there - this is what sound healing offers. Pure restoration without having to figure anything out.

  • I learned sound healing from Anne Malone, and trained specifically in gong work with James Crossley and through a weekend gong intensive with Sheila Whittaker. The gong isn't just an instrument - it's a healing tool that requires respect and proper understanding to use effectively.

    • People dealing with chronic stress, anxiety, or insomnia

    • Anyone going through a difficult time who needs deep rest

    • Those curious about sound therapy and the more mystical experiences

    • Regular yoga students wanting to go deeper into relaxation

    • Anyone who just needs an hour to completely switch off

You don't need to believe anything or understand how it works. Just experience it.

  • I'm not going to tell you this will cure everything wrong with your life or connect you to ancient wisdom. What I will say is that when you're carrying too much and normal relaxation isn't cutting it, sound healing offers something different.

It's practical therapy that sometimes touches on something genuinely mystical. The healing happens whether you believe in the mystery or just come for the measurable effects on your nervous system.

  • "The gong took me to a dark, quite scary place but I wasn't afraid. When thoughts came, the gong sounds brushed them away. During the silence at the end, I felt my body continue to completely relax."

"I had 1.5 hours deep sleep when I usually get less than an hour. Colours were brighter the next day - trees greener. Driving through traffic felt surprisingly content and peaceful."
