Carshalton and Wallington are so close that some of my students walk here. One of them told me the walk itself has become part of her practice — leaving the house, crossing the park, arriving at the studio already a bit calmer than when she left. I liked that.
What you won't find here is what you'd find at most gym classes — a packed room, someone barking instructions from the front, and no one checking whether you're actually doing it safely. My classes are small on purpose. I can see everyone. I can help everyone. That's how yoga should be taught.
The studio itself is at the end of my garden — a proper, purpose-built space with blankets, bolsters, everything you need. My dad built the foundations when he was in his eighties. It's a special place. Not because of any mystical energy — because a lot of care went into making it.
