No experience needed. No perfect poses required. Just you, exactly as you are today.
If you're thinking "but I'm not..."
"I'm not flexible enough"
Nobody starts flexible. Yoga creates flexibility - it doesn't require it. I've taught people who couldn't touch their knees, let alone their toes.
"I'm not fit enough"
This isn't a workout class. We move slowly, rest often, and modify everything. Your only job is to breathe and be present.
"I'm not spiritual enough"
Good, because I'm not recruiting for a cult. We might chant Om once (optional), but there's no preaching, no incense-waving, no pressure to believe anything.
"I'm not calm enough"
That's exactly why you should come. If you were already calm, you wouldn't need yoga. The stressed, anxious, overthinking people are my favourite students.
On The Day
What Actually Happens
10 mins before
Arrive & Settle
Find the side gate (there's a clear sign), come through to the studio at the end of the garden. I'll be there to welcome you. No awkward waiting around.
First 10 mins
We Start Slowly
Lying down, noticing your breath, letting go of whatever you walked in with. No jumping straight into poses.
Middle bit
Gentle Movement
We move through poses at a pace that lets you actually feel what's happening. I'll offer modifications for everything. Rest whenever you need to.
Last 15-20 mins
Deep Relaxation
This is the best bit. Yoga Nidra - guided rest where your nervous system finally gets to switch off. Many people say this alone is worth coming for.
The Practical Bits
What to Know
👕
What to Wear
Comfortable clothes you can move in. Nothing fancy. We practice barefoot - bring socks for the relaxation if your feet get cold.
What to Bring
Just yourself. I have mats, blocks, blankets, bolsters - everything you need. Maybe a water bottle if you like.
Where to Park
Anywhere on the street - no restrictions. Just don't block the neighbours' driveways.
When to Arrive
10 minutes early for your first class. Gives us time to chat and you time to settle without rushing.
🍽️
Eating Before
Light snack is fine up to an hour before. Heavy meal? Give it 2-3 hours or you'll regret it during forward bends.
Health Concerns
Fill in the health form when booking. If anything concerns me, I'll email you. Otherwise, I'll guide you through any modifications you need.
"I love beginners because you haven't learned to overthink it yet. Everyone starts somewhere."

Most people are surprised by how approachable it is. You don't need to be anything other than willing to try something that might help.
