Making The Yoga Den safe for your return.

16 July 2020
It was confirmed by a positive antibody test at St Helier that I had COVID-19 in March/April. I was very ill for over three weeks, and it has made me even more aware of safety.
One of the jobs of a yoga teacher is to keep students safe - physically, mentally and emotionally. I now need to do my best to keep you safe during these times.
The booking procedure will be the same process, with the added need to fill in a simple health declaration each time. I'll be checking your temperature before entering The Yoga Den - anyone with a raised temperature will not be able to enter and a refund will be issued.
Arriving to class will now be only 5 minutes before. Please arrive in this time as I'll be unable to accept latecomers. Once I start the class it's unfair for me to stop and start - there is only me, no receptionist.
Please arrive in your yoga wear and use the toilet before you come to class. I'd like to limit the number of people who enter my home at this time.
Classes will be small and intimate with just 5 students. That's 50% less than before - there will be plenty of space between mats and no mats will be opposite each other.
Once the class has finished I'll ask you to please file out one at a time to the garden for you to then leave the studio. Please remember to keep 2m apart from people outside of your household.
Classes may be a little different, but they will be glorious! I'll be using the sound bowls at the start and finish of class. We won't do anything that could cause you to be breathless. Slow somatic movements will be practised - this helps you to connect and feel what's going on inside your body, creating a state of equilibrium.
I hope you are remaining well in these times. It will be so great to see you again in person. I've missed you!
With love and gratitude, Viv x
