Closer Than You Think
A small garden studio in Wallington — about 15 minutes from Coulsdon, and nothing like a gym class.
Location
84 Blenheim Gardens
Wallington, SM6 9PS
From Coulsdon
About 15–20 minutes by car. Train via Sutton takes around 25 minutes with one change.
Class Size
Maximum 10 people
Small enough that I notice when something's not right.
A Different Kind of Class
Most of the yoga options near Coulsdon are gym classes or big studios where you're one face in a crowd of 25. If that's your thing, fine. But some people want to be actually seen — not just given a mat number and left to get on with it.
I have students who drive over from Coulsdon every week. One of them told me she'd tried three places locally before she found this one. The difference, she said, was that I knew her name by the second class and noticed she was guarding her hip before she'd mentioned it. That's what happens in a room of 10 people instead of 30.
My studio is a purpose-built room at the end of my garden in Wallington. It's warm, quiet, and deliberately small. There's no reception desk, no retail wall, no Spotify playlist. Just proper yoga, proper attention, and a cup of tea afterwards if you want one. It's about five miles from Coulsdon — far enough to leave the day behind, close enough to do on a weeknight.

Getting Here
About 5 miles, straight up the A237 or B2230. Usually takes 15–20 minutes depending on traffic. Free street parking on Blenheim Gardens — residential road, no meters, no fuss.
From Coulsdon South, take a Southern service to Sutton, then change for Wallington — it's one stop. About 25 minutes total. From the station, it's a 10-minute walk to the studio.
Honestly, from Coulsdon the car is the simplest option. It's a quick, direct drive and you won't have any trouble parking. Several of my Coulsdon students do exactly that.
What Students Say
"When I moved areas I left behind my truly wonderful Yoga class and was adamant I would be unsuccessful in finding a local yoga class that compared. After trying many, many local classes I almost gave up until I stumbled across The Yoga Den... and thank goodness I did!"
"The Yoga Den is the one time and place a week where I can just let everything go - it's like carrying a suitcase which I just leave at the door! Viv is the best teacher you could ask for, and a wonderful person. 10/10"
No experience needed. No flexibility required. Just turn up — I'll handle the rest.

I trained in Hatha with Saraswati Neville in Sutton, meditation with Swami Saradananda of the Sivananda tradition, and restorative yoga with Judith Hanson Lasater, a senior student of B.K.S. Iyengar. Read what students say.
